First mangoes of 2008

The first batch of mangoes have arrived and I got my first batch yesterday. I have uploaded some for you viewing pleasure when I am enjoying it here.
Slurrrrpp. This variety of mango is called Alphonso.

Get together with friends

We invited few friends for a get together today.
The pictures are not great but did bring few of us to meet and have fun after quite a long time. I guess everyone enjoyed it.

Sri Rama Navami 2008

Ramanavami is celebrated in rememberance of Lord Rama on the day of his birthday. It is celebrated on Navami day (8th day from the Full moon day in the Tamil month of Chiththirai)
Again Festival usually is accompnied by festive food related to the celebration. Ramanavami;s special food is Neermore (liquid yoghurt), paruppu (fresh soaked lentils) and Paanagam (Jaggery wattery).
